We exhibited at the Polymer conference in Daejeon in central Korea about 2 weeks ago. Daejeon is not only famous as bacary, but also a science city. There are many universities, research institutions and private companies. Our main display products are diamond knives with a Japanese rotary microtome. This rotary microtome was made by Yamato and he has experience of producing it for just 100 years. |

You have probably been researching your material samples by ion milling, FIB or polishing, we estimate. You may not be familiar with this method of cutting samples directly by the diamond or Tungsten Carbide knife directly. If you do this way, you can see the cross section or interface, easier, faster and larger than the above approaches. Even if you would like to get sections for TEM observation that the thickness is 1 to 10 um or even thinner such as 0.5 um or 100 nm, this microtome would be possible. Especially, if your sample is hard materials, Yamato’s microtome performs much better than other makers’ ones with high rigidity. It is possible to do a demonstration at your place, if you want. Let’s cut your own samples on site! |
